Reinforced Concrete Pool

The client wanted a modern, low-maintenance outdoor swimming pool they could enjoy year-round. Building this pool presented significant engineering and environmental challenges.

One of the main challenges with this project was the high groundwater levels due to the close proximity to the sea, the site itself experienced variable groundwater levels depending on tidal changes. Our pre-construction testing included in depth geological testing and tide level monitoring to ensure we were ahead of any potential risks. During construction, a watertight retaining wall was constructed to prevent any collapse due to the groundwater levels and the high sand and silt content of the ground itself.

On top of this, the property is located in a protected conservation area with strict tree and root orders, we ensured arboriculturists conducted regular inspections and tree/root protection barriers were installed to meet conservation requirements.

We keenly designed this small but mighty swimming pool for installation in their compact back garden, in winter, taking careful planning, logistical coordination and strict healthy and safety measures for the team and the client’s family.

We are very proud that despite the complexity the project was delivered, on time, on budget and to a high specification. A visually stunning pool with RGB colour changing lights – a pool that blends seamlessly into its surroundings. The premium filtration, including a UV and salt unit, and heating systems ensured the clients have an easy to maintain pool all year-round.

Another fantastic award-winning pool project that we are proud to have won a SPATA Gold Award in the category of Residential Outdoor Concrete Liner Pools Under £75,000.
