One-Piece Pool Installation

The client had a clear vision for their garden, a high-quality one-piece pool that would be ready for their family to enjoy by a specific date in the summer. With the deadline already set, the project required careful planning from the outset, with every stage coordinated around delivery, installation, plant setup, finishing works and handover.

Mermaid were happy to accept the challenge. With decades of experience installing bespoke pools across a wide range of sites, we knew that the key to meeting the client’s timescale would be precision, preparation and close control of every detail.

After discussing the client’s requirements, we specified a one-piece pool with built-in steps, integrated fittings, filtration, heating, plumbing and an automatic cover system. This gave the client a complete, well-considered pool solution suited to the garden, the intended use and the agreed programme.

The pool shell was delivered to site and, due to the restricted access, had to be carefully craned into position. This was a critical stage of the project, requiring meticulous preparation to ensure the shell could be placed accurately and safely, without unnecessary disruption to the property or surrounding garden.

Once the pool was in position, our team completed the installation of the filtration, heating and cover systems, before carrying out the surrounding finishing works. The built-in step unit and automatic security cover were integrated as part of the overall design, giving the family a pool that was both practical and easy to use from the day it was handed over.

The finished pool is now a striking centrepiece within Mr M’s garden. With a smooth stone surround, crystal-clear water and an automatic cover for safety and convenience, it combines clean, contemporary aesthetics with practical everyday use.

Most importantly, the project was delivered in line with the client’s required summer date. Mr M and his family now have a beautifully finished pool that is easy to maintain, efficient to run and ready to enjoy for years to come. A clear example of Mermaid’s ability to manage one-piece pool installations with precision, care and confidence.

This project is one example of the different approaches we take to swimming pool construction in Sevenoaks, from one-piece installations to bespoke concrete pools and complete refurbishments.
