Swimming Pool Construction
in Sevenoaks

There are lots of variables when it comes to the price of a swimming pool, including size, construction method, finishes and specification. Typically, our swimming pool projects range from £65,000 to £150,000+.

Often, yes.

Before deciding what to retain, we assess and test the existing pool structure. Our Sevenoaks refurbishment project involved retaining the viable existing shell while removing the old Roman end, extending the pool and redesigning the steps and finishes.

The right approach depends on the condition and construction of your existing pool, which is something we can assess during an initial consultation.

We construct pools throughout the year. In fact, one of our Sevenoaks pools was built through a particularly wet winter so it was ready for the family to enjoy the following summer.

Weather and material temperatures do affect certain stages of construction, so our team plans the programme around the conditions rather than compromising the quality of the build.

Swimming pools typically start at around 5 metres in length and in domestic settings commonly extend to 16 metres or more. We can also design compact plunge pools or larger lap pools depending on the available space and how you want to use the pool.

Absolutely. Your pool can be designed around how you want to use it, from the shape, depth and steps through to tiling, lining, stone surrounds, heating, lighting and automatic covers.

Many outdoor domestic swimming pools can be built under permitted development rights, but this depends on the property, location and proposed works.

Additional considerations can apply to listed buildings, conservation areas, designated land and properties with other planning restrictions. We recommend checking the specific circumstances of your property before work begins and can discuss this with you during the initial stages of the project.

A typical in-ground swimming pool installation takes 4 to 16 weeks, though some projects can be completed in as little as 3 weeks. The timeline varies based on the pool type (Gunite, Cast Concrete or Mono-block), size, complexity and custom features. Concrete pools generally take longer due to the curing process, especially for complex custom projects – but their customisation options and durability make the extra time worthwhile.

Yes. Site access, storage and protection are considered before work begins.

Our Mr R project in Sevenoaks was built through a very wet and muddy winter, which meant particular attention had to be paid to site cleanliness, safe access and protecting the surrounding garden throughout construction.
