Cast Concrete Swimming Pools

At Mermaid, we offer expert installation solutions for concrete swimming pools.

With over 40 years of swimming pool construction experience, we provide industry-leading standards and quality workmanship. We strive to incorporate the very best of the latest technology into our builds and regularly carry out CPD talks for many professional bodies including some of the leading architects for swimming pool design. We rely on our four decades of experience in principles for concrete quality control, which has helped establish our reputation as one of the most experienced concrete pool builders in the UK.

As a client, that means you can rest assured that your experience with Mermaid will be hassle-free. We’ve often had feedback that our construction process is interesting and enjoyable for clients to watch as we construct a quality concrete pool ‘for life’.

A well-built concrete pool will last a lifetime. Cast concrete can be produced to the most precise dimensions and tolerances, offering extreme levels of strength and suitability for engineering applications. It is widely used across the construction industry for various applications, including bridges, dams, government water storage tanks, and, of course, swimming pools.

When you buy a swimming pool from Mermaid, you are investing in a relationship & commitment from us that your pool will last a lifetime

Commercial Grade On-Site Pool Lining

On-site pool lining systems are the perfect solution for clients seeking a high-end, minimalist finish for the interior of their swimming pool.

The material is reinforced, often over 2mm thick, which is then welded into the swimming pool shell on-site. The pool will be ‘underlayed’ before the liner installation, providing a softer underfoot feel than a tiled pool. On-site lining is available in a wide variety of colors, such as a white marble effect for a turquoise water hue or a darker granite grey for a striking dark blue water impact.

Not to be compared to the traditional ‘bag liner’, which is factory made, our on site lining has a far longer life expectancy than standard factory built liners. Welded on-site lining withstands intensive use, often used outside of domestic settings in hydrotherapy pools and water parks. So confident in our lining option we offer a 10-year guarantee, although we have many on-site lined pools that are still working as they should 20 years later.

With incredible durability on-site liners can withstand running temperatures of 30°C (91°F) without any detriment to the life expectancy of the lining. Even at temperatures up to 35°C (95°F), the lining will give years of service and is still covered by a five-year guarantee.

With over 40 years of experience, Mermaid Leisure only offers the highest quality and most beneficial options for our customers.

Pools with Tiles

Many of our clients choose a fully tiled swimming pool, and for good reason. Pools with tiles exude a sense of luxury and quality that is unmatched. While tiling requires more manpower and longer build times, the end result is undeniably stunning. Tiled swimming pools give you an almost unlimited ability to create a luxury and bespoke design. Tiled swimming pools and spas can be run up to 40°C (104°F).

Our experienced team specialise in tiling pools, from large format to intricate mosaic pool designs.

We collaborate closely with reputable companies like SIKA and Mapei to ensure your pool is fully prepped for tile application using the latest technology. Properly maintained swimming pool tiles offer lifetime durability.

At Mermaid Leisure, we approach every project with meticulous care and attention to detail, implementing our 40+ years of experience and expertise.

New Pool
The team at Mermaid were excellent to work with from design and scoping through to implementation, working alongside our garden landscaping team, and now, 4 years on, with ongoing care of the pool. It has been transformative for our kids and is used for hours almost every day and looks as good as it did the day it was finished. Thanks guys we really appreciate what you have done.

Maintenance
The Mermaid team looked after our pool for many years. The Russell family run a very professional operation that is responsive, reliable and friendly. The regular service visits, adapted to the seasons, ensured that our pool was always in perfect condition. When equipment needed replacing, the recommended materials were of excellent quality and good value for money. If you are considering investing in a new pool or need help in managing your existing pool, I highly recommend Mermaid to do the job.

Mermaid was fantastic from beginning to end on our recent pool project. The team was professional, knowledgeable and kept us updated every step of the way. They stayed on schedule, worked within our budget and were genuinely a joy to work with. The final result exceeded expectations and we absolutely love our pool. We would not hesitate to recommend Mermaid to anyone thinking about one .

New Pool
We are absolutely delighted with our new swimming pool. Mermaid have made an excellent area for us to relax and unwind by and keep fit. From the very first visit, through the planning phase and onto the build and construction Mermaid were very reliable and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and they listened to our wishes. All the staff are reliable and friendly. We have Mermaid maintain our pool and they keep the pool and water quality to a high standard. If we have any minor problems or concerns they always come over to sort them out in a timely fashion. We have no regrets in having Mermaid construct and maintain our pool and I would strongly recommend them. 5 stars well deserved. Keep up the good work.
